One of only two station sign boards, which stood on the platform of the former Midland Railway and Somerset and Dorset railway terminus at Green Park, has been donated to the Museum. The sign was owned by local photographer and local historian Robert Coles and after his recent death his son Gerard Coles, kindly offered it to the Museum. It has been put on display in the Museum entrance and was officially unveiled by Gerard at an evening ceremony to celebrate Robert Coles’s work on Thursday 18th July. Thanks to Richard Wyatt of Bath Newseum for reporting on the evening with pictures, a video interview and historic images of former station workers which can be found here.
