As in previous years we are participating in B&NES Heritage Open Week in October and in addition to offering free admission to all local residents we are, as usual, presenting a programme of short documentary films with contemporary resonance. All the film shows are free!

It’s a Woman’s Life (1970)

Television film made at the time of the Equal Pay Act of 1970 and featuring interviews with women workers explaining their working experiences, at a time when they’d hoped for equality – in every regard- in the workplace, at least. Includes interviews with male employers who are, in the main, unsympathetic basically. Come along and see how things have changed!
