Historical Records and Research Facilities

The Museum has an extensive library of rare books and archives stored in environmentally controlled rooms. Research can be carried out in a warm comfortable room with free wifi access.

We have a large collection of original documents from local companies over the centuries, along with unique examples of artefacts from the commercial life of the city. We welcome requests for use of the archives and library and you can book an appointment by phone 01225 318348 or email
